"I started learning under Tanaz Irani since 2012 as an intermediate pupil in music. My journey learning the Piano, since then has been really great and completed my ATCL under her in 2016. Tanaz is musically adept and very sensitive to the need of the student. A great balance between nurturing the strengths and tightening up the failings, is what I have experienced under her guidance and tutelage. With her guidance, one can definitely expect to grow as a musician, delving to the soul of the music and use it as a medium to express your inner being."

My daughter , Aarmita Khajenoori, started learning piano at the age of 5 with Tanaz. I believe it’s important for a student to have the right guidance from a teacher to be able to excel . She is 15 yrs old now and has given her grade 7 exam with distinction. Tanaz not only taught her the notes but also instilled the discipline of practice which has stayed with her until now . Thank you Tanaz for influencing her in the positive way.

Alina was 7 years old when she first started coaching with Tanaz 9 years ago. At that age, her focus was only understanding the music sheets in front of her & playing each note correctly but Tanaz built in so much more than that in her lessons. From day one, she trained Alina to shape her music, build her aural skills, develop a practice routine & enjoy whatever she was playing. She encouraged healthy competition & public performances through master classes & annual recitals. She motivated all her students to appear for global graded exams & she prepared them for a holistic approach to music through her theory lessons along with the practical. Alina is in grade 8 of Trinity now and she swears by the discipline & love for music set in her by Tanaz when she first set out to learn the instrument.

I was always fascinated by the piano but never really had the courage to pursue until I met Tanaz. I still remember her asking me - Why the piano Anson? Her sense of being in perfect balance moves to her music and her teaching. It's her infectious love for music that captivated me to learn to play the piano at Klaviar. One can understand her love from the way she speaks about music and especially the piano. Teaching music is not just a profession for Tanaz, it's more a way of being. Her patience and pursuit of perfection for her students makes you want to give it your all. At the end of the day, Tanaz is not just my piano teacher, she's more like a mentor friend and I am eternally grateful, she took me as one of her students.
Thank you Tanaz.
